HLT32807 Certificate III in Health Support Services
This qualification covers workers who provide support for the effective functioning ofhealth services, requiring discretion and judgement. These functions are carried out undersupervision. These workers may also provide a team leadership, workplace training orleading hand function. Health Support Services do not involve direct care assistance taskssuch as assisting other staff with care of clients.

CHC30208 Certificate III in Aged Care
This qualification addresses work primarily in residential facilities under direct or regular supervision within clearly defined organisation guidelines and service plans.
These workers:
Carry out activities to maintain personal care and/or other activities of living for people in an aged care setting
Carry out activities related to an individualised plan
Report directly to a supervisor and are not responsible for other workers.
CHC40108 Certificate IV in Aged Care
This qualification addresses work primarily in residential facilities within defined organisation guidelines and service plans.
These workers:
Carry out activities related to maintaining an individual’s well being through personal care and/or other activities of living
May provide services to individuals with complex needs, and/or work with groups of older people.
Work may include training and support to promote independence and community participation, which may be provided as part of activities and programs in a variety of settings including residential and centre‐based programs
Report to service managers and liaise with professionals and other service providers
May be required to supervise and/or coordinate a limited number of other workers.
CHC40708 Certificate IV in Community Services Work
This qualification covers workers who provide a range of services and interventions to clients, and/or who implement community education and interventions. Work may take place in a range of contexts such as community based organisations, residential rehabilitation services and outreach services and workers may have supervisory responsibilities.
HLT40407 Certificate IV in Health Supervision
This qualification covers workers in the role of a supervisor or senior workplace trainer in a functional or operational unit/service in a healthcare setting providing health support services, health technical services, health care services, health professional support services and health administration services.
HLT32807 Certificate III in Health Support Services

This qualification provides fundamental knowledge for workers that support the effective functioning of a health services environment. The knowledge gained will enable health support staff to use judgement and discretion while performing their essential roles. Health Support Services do not involve direct care assistance tasks such as assisting other staff with care of clients.

Electives will be customised to address the individual needs of the workplace or packaged for specific work roles in areas such as:

  • Food Services
  • Laundry work
  • Cleaning Services
